Our
Story

We believe that children are raised by a community, and when a child is lost, we grieve as a community.

Eighteen Collective was born from both profound heartbreak and enduring hope.

In 2023, our son, Zeke, was diagnosed and born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type II. Though he lived for only 18 minutes, his life forever changed ours. In the midst of unimaginable grief, we experienced the deep compassion of family, friends, healthcare professionals, and our community. We learned firsthand that even the smallest moments can hold immeasurable meaning, and that no family should have to walk through loss alone.

The number eighteen became deeply significant to our family. Zeke was born on the 18th day of December, and he lived for 18 precious minutes. Those moments, though brief, became the foundation of a mission to transform grief into compassion and remembrance into action.

From that journey, Eighteen Collective was created.

Rooted in faith and strengthened by community, Eighteen Collective is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss. Through partnerships with local hospitals, we provide thoughtfully prepared Hope Baskets that offer comfort, dignity, and meaningful support during some of life's most difficult moments.

Every Hope Basket represents countless acts of kindness from donors, volunteers, healthcare providers, and community members who have come together to ensure that families feel seen, supported, and remembered.

While Eighteen Collective began with Zeke's story, its purpose extends far beyond our own. It exists to honor every baby, support every family, and remind those experiencing loss that they are not alone.

Because every minute matters.
